Farewell OctSNOWber

It's funny how certain things get nicknames, and the region here decided that this past month would be OctSNOWber, because yes we had SNOW in OCTOBER! It was the earliest snow in 23 years here, and I LOVED it! I already love the beauty of where we live. Seeing the leaves changes was awesome, and then with everything topped with snow, SO pretty. To make it better we still have all the fall colors and then the snow-just breathtaking. It was cute to see all the Halloween and fall stuff mingled with the snow, or example some kids made a snowman with a jack-o-lantern head :-). It only snowed the one day, but it snowed ALL day. I got to try out my new winter coat (LOVE it!) and I also got to practice driving!! They had snow plows out all day so it wasn't bad at all, however I could see how it might get bad during a storm or blizzard! The funniest part was seeing one of the cops stuff in the center of the highway...they had flares out and one of the lanes blocked. We thought there was an accident but nope...just several cops standing out in the snow trying to push one of their cars out. All I gotta say about that is: typical!

Anyways, it's finally November!! My favorite month! So many exciting things this month. First of all one of my best friends, Jessica, her little girl turned ONE on the first!! I can't believe it has already been a year. I remember being so anxious for her arrival, and Jessica texting me on Halloween night that she was in L&D. I waited all night and morning by the phone and finally got a text saying the beautiful girl was born!! I'll never forget holding her for the first time. And being so far away on her first bday got me kinda sad. But I can't wait to see what her second year has in store and watch her grow. I love you Mackenzie Grace!

It also makes me sad that I'm missing out so much on my niece growing up. It's a reminder that she will be one before we know it! I try to make sure she knows how much I love her through her mommy and of course by spoiling her with little gifts every holiday or just because, hehe!

Also in November is Eric's birthday on the 11th and mine on the 28th! As well as Thanksgiving, which I am very excited to spend in Parsons this year with our family and friends! I am very blessed to have been so welcomed by eric's family and friends, and I just LOVE spending time with all of them.

Now I am off to make pulled pork egg rolls in our new deep fryer (thanks Nicole and Ronnie Dale!).

Happy November!!!
